Bridge long distances without signal loss! This active extension cable keeps your USB connection stable and can be daisy-chained for up to a maximum of 20 metres. Ideal if your equipment is further from your PC than usual.
When do you choose this product?
What does this active USB extension cable do?
You need an active USB extension cable when you want to use USB devices at a greater distance from your computer than a standard cable allows. This 15-metre cable lets you place USB devices far from your workstation without signal loss.
Why choose this 15-metre length?
This cable is ideal when you want to place USB devices in another room or when your workstation is far from your computer. Thanks to the active technology, the data signal remains stable over the full 15-metre length, which would not be possible with passive cables.
How does the active signal amplification work?
The cable contains a built-in signal amplifier that ensures data is transferred at speeds of up to 480 MBit per second. This means you can also connect USB 2.0 devices, provided they have their own power supply. The active technology prevents the signal from weakening over the long distance.
Expansion options and compatibility
You can daisy-chain this cable up to a maximum total length of 20 metres by linking multiple cables together. The cable works from Windows 2000 up to Windows 8 and is also compatible with Mac OS 10.X systems. Please note that connected USB 2.0 devices must have their own power supply to function correctly.
