When do you need a Cat. 6 S/FTP network cable?
You use this DIGITUS network cable to connect devices such as computers, switches, routers or printers to each other over a wired network. Cat. 6 cables are suitable for fast data transmission and ensure a stable internet connection in office environments where reliability is crucial.

Why choose a length of 10 metres?
With a length of 10 metres, this cable offers sufficient reach for most office setups without unnecessary excess. You can use it to connect devices located in different corners of a room or to make a connection to another floor via a patch panel.

What does S/FTP shielding mean?
The S/FTP construction means that each wire pair is individually shielded with metal foil, and there is also a braided shield over the whole. This double protection prevents interference from other electronic devices in your environment, which is particularly important in offices with many Wi-Fi signals and other network equipment.

Practical details for installation
The cable has a 1:1 wiring scheme, meaning both ends are wired identically – this is standard for network cables. The RJ45 connectors are fitted with strain relief and boot protection, so the connections last longer. The cable length is printed on the connectors, which is handy when managing multiple connections in a network cabinet.
