When do you need a Cat. 6 network cable?
You use a Cat. 6 network cable to connect devices to each other via a wired network. You need this cable when you want to connect a computer, printer, switch or router to your network for a stable internet connection. This type of cable is suitable for modern network environments where reliability is more important than wireless connectivity.

Why choose a 10 metre length?
With 10 metres, you have enough reach to connect devices in different corners of an office space or between floors. This length offers flexibility when laying network connections without having to combine several shorter cables. The red colour makes the cable easy to recognise among other cables.

What does the U/UTP construction mean?
This DIGITUS cable has a U/UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) construction with an AWG 26/7 specification. This means the four twisted wire pairs have no additional shielding, which is sufficient for standard office environments without strong electromagnetic interference. The 1:1 wiring ensures that both ends are connected identically.

Practical details for installation
The RJ45 connectors have strain relief (knickschutz) and cable strain relief (zugentlastung), which protect the cable against breakage when bent. The LSZH sheath produces less smoke when heated, which is important for safety in indoor spaces. The length is marked on the connectors, handy for identification in a cable installation with multiple lengths.
