When do you need a network cable with S/FTP shielding?
You use this DIGITUS network cable when you want to connect devices with a stable, reliable internet connection. The shielded S/FTP design minimises interference from other electronic devices, which you need for professional applications and office setups. You use it to connect computers, printers, switches or other network equipment to your router or network switch.

Why choose a 5-metre length?
With a 5-metre cable length you have enough room to position devices flexibly without the cable being taut. This length is practical for office setups where you are not sitting directly next to the network port, but also don't need to run it through entire rooms. This way you avoid unnecessary cable clutter while still keeping the freedom of movement you need.

Protection against daily use
The cable has a shielded S/FTP construction that minimises interference from other electronic devices. In addition, the RJ45 connectors are fitted with Rasthebelschutz and Knickschutz – German terms indicating that the cable is protected against damage to the locking tabs and against kinking at the connections. The LSZH sheath ensures less smoke development when heated.

Compatibility and connection
This cable works with all standard network equipment that has RJ45 connections. The Belegung 1:1 configuration means both ends are wired identically, which is the standard for connecting different devices such as a computer to a switch. You simply plug the connectors into the network ports – the Rasthebelschutz helps prevent the locking tabs from breaking off when plugging and unplugging.
