When do you need a mechanical pencil?
A mechanical pencil is indispensable for technical drawing, architectural and design work, but also for everyday writing where you want a constant line width. Unlike ordinary pencils, you never need to sharpen it, so you always have a sharp point for precision work.

Why choose a 0.5 mm lead?
The 0.5 mm lead is the most versatile choice for both writing and drawing. This thickness gives you sufficient precision for detailed work, yet is strong enough for normal writing use. You get a clear, legible line without the lead breaking too easily under a bit more pressure.

Ergonomic comfort through thoughtful design
This mechanical pencil features an ergonomic grip zone that ensures a comfortable posture during prolonged use. The spring-loaded lead means the lead holder can give slightly under pressure, which prevents lead breakage. The eraser at the end of the pencil lets you make small corrections straight away.

Practical details that make the difference
The retractable tip protects the delicate lead when you are not using the pencil or are carrying it in your pencil case. The light blue appearance makes this mechanical pencil easy to spot among your other writing materials. Mechanical pencils from Faber-Castell are suitable for standard 0.5 mm mechanical pencil leads, which you can buy at any office supplies shop.
