When do you need a pencil sharpener with cut protection?
A pencil sharpener with cut protection is essential when children need to sharpen pencils independently at school, for homework or during creative activities. This FABER-CASTELL model has been specially developed for environments where safety comes first, such as classrooms, childcare facilities or home offices where children also come.

Why choose a model with a large collection tray?
The large collection tray means you need to empty it less often, which is especially practical in busy environments. You can sharpen more pencils in a row without interruption, and it prevents shavings from ending up on your desk or the floor. This makes the pencil sharpener suitable for intensive use by multiple children.

How does the child-safe cut protection work?
This pencil sharpener has built-in cut protection with a safety system that prevents children from reaching the cutting mechanism. The 'click' sound when inserting the pencil confirms that it is correctly positioned. The sicherheitsschraube (safety screw) ensures that the mechanism remains safely locked during use.

Practical tip for long-term use
The sharpening mechanism is replaceable, which means you can keep using the pencil sharpener for a long time without throwing away the entire product. When the blade becomes blunt after intensive use, you only replace the cutting part. This makes it a sustainable choice for schools or families who sharpen pencils regularly.
