What does this clutch pencil do?
The Faber-Castell TK 9400 clutch pencil is specially designed for drawing, writing and sketching. You use this type of clutch pencil when you need precision and consistency for creative work or technical drawings. Unlike ordinary pencils, you don't have to keep sharpening it.

Why choose this 3.15 mm variant?
This clutch pencil has a thick 3.15 mm lead, which produces broad, bold lines. This diameter is ideal when you want to shade large areas, make thick sketches or simply draw more expressively than thin clutch pencils allow. The 5B hardness gives dark, soft lines.

Ergonomic grip for prolonged use
The hexagonal design with ergonomic grip grooves ensures the pencil sits comfortably in your hand and won't roll off your worktable. The robust mechanism and powerful clamp hold the lead firmly in place, even during intensive use. You can sharpen the lead individually for the desired line thickness.

Compatibility and replacement leads
This clutch pencil is 145 mm long and works exclusively with Faber-Castell TK-Minen 9071 replacement leads. Make sure you order these specific leads when you need new ones. The leads are not universally interchangeable with other brands or models.
