What are lead refills and when do you need them?
Lead refills are replacement leads for mechanical pencils, which you use when your original lead has run out or broken. You need these HB refills if you regularly write, draw or make technical sketches with a mechanical pencil that uses 1.0 mm leads.

Why choose the 1.0 mm thickness?
The 1.0 mm thickness is ideal for general writing and sketching where you want a clear, easily visible line. This thickness offers more stability than thinner leads. You get a consistent line that suits both notes and simple drawings.

What does the HB grade mean?
HB stands for the hardness grade of the graphite and means that these leads offer a balance between hard and soft. This results in a medium-dark line that is suitable for most writing and drawing applications. The line is dark enough to be easily legible, but not so soft that it smudges quickly.

Practical compatibility and use
These Faber-Castell leads are compatible with all mechanical pencils that accept 1.0 mm leads, regardless of the brand of your pencil. With 12 pieces in the box, you have sufficient stock for long-term use. Store the box in a dry place to prevent the leads from breaking due to moisture or temperature changes.
