What is a water brush and when do you use it?
A water brush is a handy tool for artists who work with watercolour paint, watercolour pencils or other water-soluble materials. It combines a brush with a water reservoir, so you always have water to hand without needing a separate pot of water. This makes it perfect for sketching on the go, plein air painting or simply working practically at your desk.

Why choose the medium size?
The medium variant offers an excellent balance between control and coverage. The brush is large enough for filling in areas and making broad strokes, but remains precise enough for detailed work. With the 6 ml water reservoir, you have enough water for longer painting sessions without having to refill constantly.

Synthetic bristles for reliable performance
This water brush is fitted with synthetic bristles specially developed for use with water. Synthetic bristles hold their shape well, are durable and deliver water evenly. They are also easier to clean than natural hair and keep their point for longer.

Practical extra: scratching and scraping techniques
A special feature of this brush is that the cap can be used for scratching and scraping techniques. This lets you create interesting textural effects in your work by scratching paint away or making patterns in wet paint. This makes the brush more versatile than a standard water brush and opens up new creative possibilities in your artwork.
