What does this product do and when do you use it?

Use this foil glitter to decorate craft projects, cards and other creative projects where you want to add a sparkling, blue accent. The jar with a shaker top lets you apply the glitter in measured amounts and exactly where you want it, so you won't be left with an excess of glitter. This makes it suitable for both small-scale craft projects at home and creative activities at school or in childcare.

Why this bio variant is a conscious choice

This glitter is made from polylactic acid (PLA), a raw material that does not come from fossil sources like traditional glitter. Under the test conditions prescribed by the EU, this material biodegrades by approximately 75%. If you are consciously concerned about the environmental impact of craft materials, this variant offers an alternative to conventional glitter without compromising on the visual effect.

An honest explanation of biodegradability

It is important to know that the biodegradation of approximately 75% takes place under specific test conditions prescribed by the EU. This does not automatically mean that the glitter breaks down just as quickly in a regular garden compost or in the environment without controlled conditions. The remaining 25% may therefore remain present for longer, depending on the conditions in which it ends up.
