What does this ink cartridge do?
The HP 304 is a black ink cartridge designed for use in HP inkjet printers for home use and light office use. You use this cartridge when you want to print texts, documents or simple prints via a compatible HP printer.

Which printers is the HP 304 suitable for?
This cartridge works with a wide range of HP printers from the DeskJet, ENVY and Officejet series. Specifically, this includes models from the DeskJet 2130, 2630 and 3720 range, the ENVY 4520 and 5000 series, and Officejet models such as the 3830 and 4650 range. Check your exact printer number in advance, as not every model within a series is necessarily compatible.

Honest about capacity
The HP 304 has a capacity of 120 pages. That makes this cartridge suitable for average home use, where you print regularly but not intensively. If you print larger volumes, you may be better off looking at an XL version of the same cartridge, should one be available.

Practical tip: check the correct reference number
The current article number for the HP 304 black is B7RT7AE. The older reference number N9K06AE refers to the same cartridge. When purchasing or replacing, always check which number is on your current cartridge so you can be sure you are ordering the right one. Don't leave empty cartridges in the printer for too long; remove them in good time to prevent ink jams or the print head drying out.
