What is a keilrahmen and when do you need one?
A keilrahmen is a wooden frame onto which canvas is stretched for painting with oil or acrylic paint. This Kangaro model gives you a professionally prepared painting surface that is ready to use straight away. You don't need any time for stretching the canvas yourself or applying ground layers.

The benefits of a 37 mm depth and 3-layer gesso primer
With its 37 mm depth, this canvas creates a sturdy frame for long-lasting painting. The 100% cotton canvas weighs 380 grams per square metre and has been pre-treated with three layers of gesso primer for optimal paint adhesion. Thanks to the extra-wide stretcher bars, the sides can be painted too, so the painting can be used and hung without a frame.

Practical details for optimal use
The canvas comes with pine wooden wedges, which you can use to retighten the canvas if it starts to sag while you are painting. The canvas is already professionally stretched and fixed to the frame, so you can start painting straight away. Store unused canvases flat and dry to prevent warping.
