What are canvas stretchers and when do you need them?
Canvas stretchers are stretched canvases on wooden frames that you use for painting with oil or acrylic paint. This set gives you three ready-to-use canvases measuring 130 × 180 mm, ideal for smaller artworks, studies or when you want to experiment with new techniques without wasting much material.

Why choose this compact size?
The 130 × 180 mm size is perfect for detail studies, small-scale portraits or if you have limited working space. With three canvases in one set, you can create a series or try out different techniques. The size is large enough to work expressively, yet small enough to finish quickly.

Professional preparation for an immediate start
The canvas is 4-fold primed, meaning it has been prepared four times with ground coat. This ensures an optimal surface that takes paint well and prevents oil from oil paint soaking into the canvas. The 380 g/m² 100% cotton canvas has the right density for both oil and acrylic painting.

Practical details for use
The 17 mm frame depth gives the canvas sufficient stability, while the staples are only on the back for a neat finish on the front. You can use this canvas for traditional painting techniques, but also for serviettentechnik (decoupage). The canvas is ready to use straight away – you don't need to prepare anything.
