What is a compact ballpoint pen?
A compact ballpoint pen is specially designed for on-the-go use and offers the functionality of a full-size pen in a portable format. This type of pen is ideal when you travel regularly, often sit in meetings, or simply want to save space in your bag or breast pocket.

Why choose this compact format?
The LAMY pico stands out thanks to its double-click mechanism, which transforms the pen from a compact size into a full-size ballpoint pen with a single finger movement. This means you don't have to compromise on writing comfort, while the pen remains extremely portable when folded up. The matt black lacquer finish gives the pen a professional look.

How does the double-click mechanism work?
What makes this pen special is the double-click function, which allows for a quick transition between the compact carrying position and the ready-to-write position. With just one action, you extend the pen to its full length, so you can write comfortably without the limitations of a small pen.

Practical tip for use
The pen is supplied with a Compactmine M22 refill in black. This specific refill is matched to the compact design of the pen. When replacing it, always make sure to use this M22 refill to maintain the correct operation of the double-click mechanism.
