This is why Dex likes this article
Do you work with sensitive information on your 13.3-inch laptop? This Leitz privacy filter keeps prying eyes at bay thanks to darkening at a viewing angle of 30 degrees. The built-in blue light filter and scratch-resistant surface also protect your screen and your eyes.
When do you choose this product?
What does this product do, and when do you need it?
A privacy filter attaches to the front of your laptop screen so that people beside you or just behind you cannot read what is on it. If you regularly work on a train, plane, in an open-plan office or another busy environment, this filter protects confidential information from unwanted glances. From an angle of 30 degrees to the side, the screen turns dark for bystanders, while you, sitting straight in front of the screen, keep normal viewing.
Why this size is the right choice
This filter is made specifically for laptop screens with a diagonal of 13.3 inches and an aspect ratio of 16:9. Because of that exact fit, the filter lines up precisely with your screen surface without you having to cut or adjust anything yourself. If you choose a filter that is not matched to your screen size, you get uncovered edges or the filter sits crooked, which affects the privacy and filtering function.
Blue light filter and anti-glare coating in one
Besides the privacy function, this screen also filters blue light, which is useful if you sit behind your laptop for long periods. The anti-glare coating reduces reflections of ambient light, so you are less likely to be bothered by tiring glare. The filter also protects the screen surface itself against scratches and damage.
Practical tip on attachment and touchscreen
The filter is supplied with adhesive strips and holder tabs, so you can choose how to attach it: permanently with the strips or removable via the tabs. If you use a touchscreen laptop, you don't have to give up any functionality: the filter is fully touchscreen-compatible, so touch control keeps working normally after fitting.
