This is why Dex likes this article
This fibre optic patch cable delivers stable, fast connections in your data centre or FTTX network. Thanks to the flexible, bend-insensitive LSZH sheath, it is easy to route through cable trays, and each unit is tested with a test report for added peace of mind.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need this fibre optic cable?
This LWL patch cable has been specially developed for professional fibre optic connections in data centres and FTTX installations. You use this type of cable to connect fibre optic equipment where very fast and stable data transmission is required. The singlemode OS2 specification enables long distances with minimal signal loss.
Why choose this length and connection?
At 40 metres in length, this cable offers sufficient reach for larger server rooms and complex network layouts. The combination of SC-simplex and LC-simplex connectors provides flexibility when connecting different types of fibre optic equipment. This mixed connector design is ideal when you need to link devices with different connections.
Advantages of the flexible G657.A2 fibre
The G657.A2 fibre is bend-insensitive, so you can bend the cable more tightly without signal loss or damage. This is especially useful in tight spaces where traditional fibre optic cables would cause problems. The slim 2mm diameter and flexible properties make installation and cable management considerably easier.
Practical installation features
The yellow cable colour and green connectors make identification and maintenance easier in complex network layouts. Every cable supplied is tested and comes with a test protocol, which guarantees quality. The LSZH sheath ensures safety in case of fire thanks to limited smoke and toxic fume development.
