When do you need a Cat.7 network cable?
Cat.7 network cables are designed for professional network environments where you need very high data speeds and stable connections. This cable supports frequencies up to 1,000 MHz, making it ideal for future-proof network infrastructure in offices, data centres or server rooms. You choose Cat.7 when your existing Cat.5e or Cat.6 cables have become too slow.

Why 50 metres and this PIMF version?
With a length of 50 metres, you can bridge large distances between switches, routers or workstations without signal loss. The PIMF construction (Pairs in Metal Foil) means that each wire pair is individually shielded, plus an additional overall shield. This prevents interference from outside and crosstalk between the wire pairs, which is essential for long cable runs in professional environments.

Fire safety according to European standards
This cable complies with fire class Dca-s1a,d0,a1 according to EN50575, which means it is suitable for use in buildings with increased fire safety requirements. The LSZH outer sheath (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) produces minimal smoke and no toxic halogens when burned. This makes the cable suitable for office buildings, hospitals or schools where fire safety is a priority.

Compatibility and installation tip
Thanks to the 7.5 mm diameter and AWG23 conductors, this cable is compatible with standard RJ45 connectors and network equipment. Do note that you need sufficient space in cable trays, as Cat.7 cables are thicker than Cat.5e variants. Plan your cable routing in advance and use suitable pulling aids when pulling through long conduits.
