When do you need an outdoor network cable?
This Cat. 6A S/FTP cable is specially designed for network connections outdoors. You choose this type of cable when you want to connect devices located outside the home, such as security cameras, access points or equipment in sheds and garages. The cable is resistant to weather influences and temperature fluctuations.

Why exactly 20 metres in length?
With 20 metres you have sufficient length for most outdoor installations without unnecessary cable surplus. This length is ideal for connections between buildings, from inside to outside, or for bridging gardens and courtyards. You also keep the signal strength optimal, as longer cables can cause more signal loss.

Protection against weather influences
The cable has a special sheath of PE & PVC that is resistant to UV radiation and oil. In addition, the cable is protected against spray water in accordance with IEC60811-1-3 standards. These properties ensure that the cable functions reliably for years in outdoor conditions, from -40 to +65 degrees.

Note: not suitable for underground installation
This cable is designed for above-ground installation and must not be laid in the ground. Therefore, plan your installation via walls, fences or cable ducts. The S/FTP shielding protects against electromagnetic interference, which is important in environments with a lot of electronic equipment. Ensure processing takes place in a dry area at the connection points.
