When should you choose a self-watering planter?
This Orthex planter is ideal for balconies and terraces where you want to grow plants without having to water them every day. The built-in self-watering system ensures your plants get the right amount of moisture, even if you are away for a few days or during warm spells.

Why this compact balcony size?
With dimensions of 750×180×170 mm, this planter fits perfectly on narrow balcony railings and window sills. The 75 cm width offers enough space for several plants or a neat row of herbs, while the 18 cm depth provides sufficient root space without taking up too much balcony room.

How does the self-watering system work?
The planter features a large water reservoir that stores water and releases it gradually to the plant roots. This prevents both drying out and waterlogging, as plants only take up the water they need. The system is especially handy during holidays or for people who don't have time for plant care every day.

Practical details for optimal use
The planter is made entirely of recycled PP plastic and has pre-marked points for drainage holes. You can punch these holes out as needed if you want to use the planter without the self-watering system. The white colour reflects sunlight and prevents the roots from overheating during hot summer days.
