What does this product do?
The Pelikan griffix Schreiblernpotlood is specially developed for children who are learning to write. This pencil helps children learn the correct pencil grip and writing posture. Thanks to its ergonomic design, the hand is naturally placed in the correct position, which prevents cramped fingers.

Why right-handed and this version?
This model is specifically designed for right-handed children. The ergonomic grip zone is therefore positioned on the right-hand side. The striking black and orange colour scheme makes the pencil recognisable and appealing to young users. The click mechanism means there is no need to sharpen, which is practical during the learning process.

An honest explanation of the HB 2.0 mm lead
The HB grade offers a good balance between hardness and softness: not so hard that children have to press too hard, but not so soft that it wears down quickly. The 2.0 mm thickness is thicker than standard pencil leads, which makes the writing line more visible and means it is less likely to break for beginning writers who still apply a lot of pressure.

Practical tip for use
Make sure you choose this right-handed version if your child is right-handed – left-handed variants also exist. The pencil is supplied in a folding box, which is handy for storage or as a gift. Because of the click mechanism, you will always need replacement leads of 2.0 mm thickness once the current lead runs out.
