What does a nib do, and when do you need one?
A nib is the writing part of a fountain pen that you can replace when it becomes worn or damaged. Instead of buying an entirely new fountain pen, you only replace the nib and can keep on writing for years to come.

Why nib width A is the right choice for beginners
This nib has nib width A, which is specifically developed for beginners. This nib hardness provides a stable writing experience that is less sensitive to pressure and writing angle. As a result, you gain more control over your handwriting and make fewer smudges.

Suitable for Pelikano and Junior fountain pens
This nib fits exclusively on Pelikan Pelikano and Junior fountain pen models. These fountain pens are specially designed for people who are learning to write with a fountain pen, such as children at school or adults switching from a ballpoint pen to a fountain pen.

Practical tip for replacement
Check before you order whether you have a Pelikan Pelikano or Junior fountain pen, as this nib cannot be used universally. The new OEM code is 300010766, but you may also come across the old code 918532. Both refer to exactly the same product, so don't worry if you see either of these numbers when ordering replacement parts.
