What does a pigment marker do and when do you use one?
A pigment marker such as the POSCA PC-5M writes on virtually all surfaces with opaque, covering ink. You use this marker when you want to draw or write on dark backgrounds, glass, metal, plastic or porous materials where ordinary pens don't work. The pigment ink dries waterproof and remains clearly visible even after years.

Why choose the round tip of 1.8–2.5 mm?
The round tip of this POSCA gives you a line width between 1.8 and 2.5 millimetres, which is ideal for medium-sized text and details. You can draw thin lines by applying light pressure or make broader strokes with more pressure. This tip size sits between the fine detail markers and the thick bullet markers, so you stay flexible in your applications.

Why dark grey is a practical colour choice
Dark grey is a neutral colour that stands out well on light backgrounds but is not as dominant as black. This colour works excellently for professional applications such as marking materials, making diagrams or technical drawings. On white or light-coloured surfaces, dark grey remains easy to read without appearing too harsh.

Practical tip for optimal use
Always shake the marker well before use and activate the tip by pressing it a few times on paper until the ink flows. Store the POSCA horizontally to keep the ink distribution even. The marker writes on smooth surfaces such as glass and metal, but also on rough cardboard and wood, so you can use it for a variety of projects.
