When do you need an OM5 fibre optic patch cable?
You use this fibre optic patch cable to connect network equipment with SC connectors in professional network environments. You need this type of cable when you want to achieve high data speeds between switches, servers or other network components that require fibre optic connections.

Why choose OM5 multimode technology?
The OM5 specification supports short wave division multiplexing (SWDM) and wideband multimode fibre technology. This means that with this 1.0 metre cable you can achieve data speeds of up to 400 Gbit/s. This technology is particularly suitable for modern data centres and network environments where maximum bandwidth is essential.

SC duplex connectors for reliable connections
This patch cable has SC duplex connectors at both ends, which ensures a stable push-pull connection. The grey ABS connectors are robust and easy to handle. The duplex design means you can transmit both sending and receiving data through a single cable.

Practical considerations during installation
Make sure that both devices have SC connectors and support OM5 multimode fibre. The light green cable colour helps you identify OM5 cables in your infrastructure. With a length of 1.0 metre, this cable is ideal for short connections within server cabinets or between devices placed directly next to each other.
