When do you need a Cat. 6 patch cable?
A patch cable is used to connect network equipment to each other, such as your computer to a router, switch or wall network port. Cat. 6 cables are suitable for modern internet connections and local networks where you need reliable data transmission.

Why choose a 2 metre length?
At 2 metres, you have enough reach for most office and home situations without excess cable. This length is ideal when your devices are a short to medium distance apart, for example from your desk to a wall socket or between network components in a cabinet.

S/FTP shielding for stable connections
This cable has S/FTP (Screened Foiled Twisted Pair) shielding with aluminium foil 0.025 mm thick. This double protection prevents electrical interference from other devices from disrupting your network connection. The copper cores and gold-plated contact surfaces ensure stable signal transmission up to 250 MHz.

Practical details for use
The RJ45 connectors have moulded boots that protect the connections from damage. The yellow colour makes the cable easy to identify in your network setup, which is handy for organising multiple connections. The cable is halogen-free, meaning no toxic gases are released when it is heated.
