When do you use a fineliner?
A fineliner is ideal for precision work where you need thin, crisp lines. You use this pen for technical drawing, hand lettering, bullet journaling or making detailed notes and diagrams. The STABILO Point 88 is perfect if you want to keep the same line width consistently throughout your work.

Why choose a 0.4 mm line width?
With a line width of 0.4 mm, you are right between the thinnest and thickest fineliners. This width gives you sufficient visibility for ordinary writing, yet remains fine enough for detailed work. The metal tip ensures the line width stays consistent, even during prolonged use.

Suitable for rulers and stencils
This fineliner has been specially developed to work smoothly with rulers and stencils. The metal tip glides easily along the edge without catching or bleeding. This makes the pen particularly suitable for technical drawings, architectural sketches or creating charts where straight lines are crucial.

Practical design and protection
The hexagonal shape with striped design prevents the pen from rolling off your desk and provides extra grip while writing. The ventilated cap protects against drying out, while still allowing you to breathe safely should you accidentally swallow the cap. Thanks to its high resistance to drying out, the tip stays moist for a long time, even if you forget to put the cap back on.
