What does this masking tape do?
The WESTEX Gold Premium masking tape is designed to mask surfaces during painting and varnishing work. The tape protects edges and adjacent surfaces so that paint or varnish ends up exactly where you want it. With a width of 19 mm and a roll length of 50 metres, each roll provides enough material for larger jobs.

When is this the right choice?
This tape is suitable for situations where ordinary masking tape falls short. Thanks to its UV resistance up to UV90, you can also use it outdoors or with prolonged exposure to light without the adhesive degrading or leaving residue. Its heat resistance up to 150 degrees also makes it suitable for applications involving warm drying or heating, such as car body repair or industrial paint lines.

Honest about the properties
The tape is thin, flexible and tear-resistant, which makes it easy to mask tight curves and profiles neatly. The high water resistance means it won't lift when in contact with water-based paint or damp surfaces. The manufacturer states that the tape is suitable for double masking, meaning you can apply an extra layer of tape without the adhesion causing problems.

Practical tip for use
Because the tape unwinds very smoothly, you can work with it quickly without the roll crumbling or jamming. When removing it, pay attention to the recommended maximum exposure time for your specific type of paint, so you don't leave adhesive residue behind. After use, store the roll in a dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve its adhesive strength for your next job.
