When do you need a Cat6 network cable?
A Cat6 network cable is used to connect devices such as computers, printers, switches or routers to each other via a wired network. This type of cable is ideal when you need a stable and fast internet connection, without the possible interference that can occur with Wi-Fi. Cat6 cables are suitable for modern network environments where reliability is paramount.

Why choose this short 0.5 metre variant?
This 0.5 metre cable is perfect for short connections within your office or home workspace. You can use it, for example, to connect your computer directly to a switch standing nearby, or to link devices in the same cabinet. The short length prevents unnecessary cable clutter and ensures a neat, tidy workspace.

What does U/UTP technology mean?
This cable has a U/UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) construction with a 4 x 2 AWG 26/7 specification. This means the wire pairs in the cable are twisted to counteract interference, but are not additionally shielded. For most office environments, this offers sufficient performance at a sharp price. The twisted pair technology ensures reliable data transmission.

Practical details for use
The cable has 1:1 wiring (*belegung*), which means both ends are wired identically – this is the standard for network cables. The RJ45 connectors feature strain relief and boot protection, so they last longer with regular plugging and unplugging. The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) cable sheath is safer in case of fire because it produces fewer toxic fumes.
