This is why Dex likes this article
This pastel colour pencil from Faber-Castell is ideal for fine details and subtle accents in your artwork. The 3.8 mm lead gives you full control, and the lightfast colour stays beautiful for years.
When do you choose this product?
What does this pastel pencil do?
The Faber-Castell PITT pastel pencil has been specially developed for artists who work with pastel techniques. Use this medium pencil for adding details, blending colours and creating subtle transitions in your artwork. The pastel formula is fat- and oil-free, making it suitable for various drawing techniques.
Why choose the 3.8 mm lead diameter?
With a lead diameter of 3.8 mm, this pencil offers the perfect balance between precision and coverage. This thickness is ideal for both fine details and filling larger areas. You can create filigree work, but also broader strokes by holding the pencil at an angle.
High lightfastness for lasting results
This PITT pastel pencil is characterised by its high lightfastness and colour brilliance. This means your artwork will retain its original colour intensity for years, even when exposed to light. The colour brilliance ensures that your work stays bright and pure, without fading or discolouring.
Practical tip for use
The pencil is 176 mm long and can easily be sharpened with either a craft knife or a regular pencil sharpener. For the best results with fine details, sharpen the tip regularly. Store the pencil horizontally to prevent the lead from breaking, especially as pastel chalk is more fragile than graphite.
