What does this cable do and when do you need it?

An HDMI 2.1 cable connects devices such as a TV, monitor, games console or media player to a display or receiver through a single cable for both video and audio. You specifically need an HDMI 2.1 cable when you want to connect devices that support high resolutions and high refresh rates, such as modern games consoles or the latest generation of graphics cards.

Why choose this version?

HDMI 2.1 supports a data rate of up to 48 Gbit/s, which is considerably more than earlier HDMI versions. This makes the cable suitable for connections that require a lot of bandwidth. The built-in Ethernet support also means you can set up a network connection between devices via the same cable, provided both devices support this.

How is the cable constructed?

The cable has an aluminium housing on the connectors and is triple-shielded, which reduces interference from outside. The gold-plated contact points ensure a stable connection. The braided nylon sheath around the cable protects against mechanical wear during daily use and gives the cable extra sturdiness.

Practical tip for use

At a length of 1.0 m, this cable is ideally suited to situations where the source device is placed right next to the screen, such as a PC setup on a desk or a games console directly beside the TV. Before purchasing, check that your equipment has a standard HDMI-A port, as this cable has an HDMI-A plug on both ends (type CH0110). For greater distances between devices, you will need a longer version.
