When do you need a short network connection?
You use this 0.25 metre Cat. 6 S/FTP patch cable for very short network connections in your office or home workspace. You need it when devices are placed close together, such as when connecting a switch to a router, or when you connect a computer to a nearby network port. The short length prevents unnecessary cable clutter in compact setups.

Why exactly 25 centimetres of cable?
The 0.25 metre size is ideal for situations where standard cables of 1 metre or longer would create too much excess. You mainly use this length in server cabinets, on patch panels, or when placing equipment on the same shelf or in the same rack. The compact size gives a neat, professional appearance without surplus cable length hanging in the way.

What does the S/FTP shielding mean?
This cable has double shielding with aluminium foil 0.025 mm thick, which counteracts interference from other electronic devices. The shielding is especially useful in environments with heavy network traffic or electromagnetic interference. Thanks to the 250 MHz frequency and the copper material of the conductors, you get stable data transmission, even with intensive use.

Practical compatibility and connection
The gold-plated contact surfaces of the RJ45 connectors ensure optimal contact and reduce corrosion. You connect the cable to all standard Ethernet ports on computers, switches, routers and other network equipment. The moulded boots protect the connection points against damage, which is important when frequently plugging and unplugging in an office environment.
