What does this product do and when do you need it?

Masking tape is used to cover surfaces you don't want to paint or work on. The WESTEX Gold Premium masking tape, 25 mm wide and 50 metres long, is designed for situations where ordinary masking tape falls short, such as painting jobs outdoors, on heated surfaces or where there is prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Why this size and this variant?

The 25 mm width is suitable for masking skirting boards, window frames and edges where you want a sharp paint line. With 50 metres per roll, you have enough length for larger jobs without having to grab a new roll partway through. Thanks to its UV resistance (UV90) and heat resistance up to 150 degrees, this tape can also be used on surfaces exposed to direct sun or heat, something standard masking tape cannot handle.

An honest explanation of the main features

This tape is thin, flexible and tear-resistant, which makes it easy to apply neatly along edges and corners. Its high water resistance ensures the tape keeps its grip in damp conditions, such as outdoor work or in the bathroom. It also unrolls very easily, so you can work quickly without the tape curling up or sticking to itself.

Practical tip for use

This masking tape is suitable for double masking, meaning you can stick it over a previously applied strip of tape for extra coverage in tricky spots. Always remove the tape in good time after painting and before the paint has fully cured, so you get a clean line and the tape comes off without damage.
