What does a drum unit do and when do you need one?
A drum unit is an essential component of your laser printer that transfers toner onto the paper. When your printouts show faded text, streaks or smudges, it is time to replace the drum. This happens independently of your toner, so you can experience drum problems even with a full toner cartridge.

Why the DR-2100 for your Brother printer?
This drum unit has been specifically developed for a select group of Brother laser printers, including the HL-2140, HL-2150N, HL-2170W and various MFC and DCP models such as the MFC-7440N, MFC-7320, DCP-7030 and DCP-7040 series. Using the correct OEM drum guarantees optimal performance and prevents damage to your printer.

Capacity to suit your print volume
With a capacity of approximately 12,000 pages, the DR-2100 offers a solid lifespan for both home offices and small businesses. This figure applies at a standard print coverage of 5%, which means that with more intensive use involving graphics or a lot of text, you will need to replace it sooner. For regular users, this means months of worry-free printing.

Practical tip for installation and use
Before ordering, check that your printer model exactly matches the compatible models such as DCP-7045N, MFC-7840W or MFC-45N. Keep the drum unit in its original packaging until use and avoid direct sunlight. During installation, do not touch the green surface of the drum to prevent damage.
