What is a drum unit and when do you need one?
A drum unit is an essential part of your laser printer that transfers the toner onto the paper. Unlike the toner cartridge, a drum lasts much longer - this Brother DR-2300 drum can print approximately 12,000 pages. You need a new drum when your printer indicates that the drum needs replacing or when your prints become smudgy.

Why choose this Brother DR-2300 drum?
This drum is specifically developed for Brother laser printers and offers reliable performance throughout its lifespan of approximately 12,000 pages. The OEM number DR-2300 guarantees that you receive the correct original part, which is more important for drums than for toner cartridges because drums are a more complex mechanical component.

What does the capacity of 12,000 pages mean in practice?
The stated capacity of approximately 12,000 pages is based on standard test conditions. In practice, this number may vary depending on what you print and how often you use the printer. Complex documents with many images can wear the drum out faster, while simple text documents will come closer to the stated capacity.

Checking compatibility is crucial
This DR-2300 drum works exclusively with specific Brother printer models: DCP-L2520DW, DCP-L2540DN, DCP-L2560DW, MFC-2700DW, MFC-L2700DN, MFC-J2720DW, MFC-J2740DW and HL-L2300D. Always check the exact model number of your printer before ordering, because drums are model-specific and not interchangeable between different printer families.
