When do you need a magenta ink cartridge?
You need this CLI-521 magenta ink cartridge when you print colour documents or photos and the magenta ink has run out. Magenta is one of the three primary colours in colour printing and essential for creating vibrant red and pink shades. Without magenta, your prints will show incomplete colours.

Why choose specifically the CLI-521 format?
This ink cartridge has been specially developed for Canon's Pixma printer series and fits only compatible models. The 9 ml capacity strikes a good balance between compact dimensions and sufficient printing capacity. This format is part of Canon's five-colour ink system, in which each colour has its own cartridge.

What does the 9 ml capacity mean in practice?
With 9 ml of magenta ink, you can print a considerable number of colour documents and photos, depending on how much magenta your prints contain. Photos with a lot of red and pink elements use more magenta than text documents with coloured accents. The capacity is tailored to the average use of home users and small offices.
