When do you need a photo cyan ink cartridge?
This Canon PGI-72 PC ink cartridge supplies photo cyan, a specific colour that is essential for high-quality photo prints. You need this cartridge when your Canon printer indicates that the photo cyan ink has run out, or when you notice that your photos are getting a warm colour cast instead of cool, natural tones.

Why specifically the PGI-72 format?
The PGI-72 system was developed for Canon's professional photo printers, which work with an extended colour system. Photo cyan complements standard cyan by allowing for subtler transitions and more natural skin tones. This format only fits printers specifically designed for this cartridge system.

What does the 14 ml capacity mean for you?
With 14 ml of photo cyan ink, you can print a substantial number of photos, depending on how many cyan tones your prints contain. This quantity is matched to the ratio in which photo cyan is typically used - less than standard cyan, but regularly so for photo work.

Checking compatibility
Check whether your printer uses the PGI-72 system by looking in your printer menu or by checking your old cartridges. The reference number 6407B001 is printed on the original packaging. Note that photo cyan (PC) differs from regular cyan (C) - they are not interchangeable and each has its own function in the printing process.
