When do you need this ink cartridge?

When the black ink in your Canon Pixma printer runs out, you need a replacement cartridge that fits your model exactly. The PG-585 is Canon's original black ink cartridge, designed for anyone who wants to keep printing text, documents or black-and-white prints without interruption.

Is this the right cartridge for your printer?

The PG-585 is compatible with printers from the Canon Pixma TS 7600 Series and TS 7700 Series, and specific models such as the TS 7640i, TS 7650i, TS 7740i and TS 7750i. Check before purchasing that your printer model appears on this list, as an incorrect cartridge will not physically fit in the printer or will not be recognised. The reference number of this cartridge is 6505C001.

What can you expect from the contents?

This cartridge contains 7.3 ml of ink and offers a capacity of approximately 180 pages. That makes it suitable for regular home use or light office use where you do not print large volumes of documents every day. With more intensive use, it is wise to keep a spare cartridge on hand so you do not run out of ink in the middle of a print job.

Practical tip on fitting and storage

Store an unopened cartridge in a cool, dry place and preferably use it before the best-before date stated on the packaging. When you fit the cartridge, remove the protective tape completely before sliding it into the printer. You can easily monitor the ink level via the printer settings or the Canon app, so you can order a new cartridge in good time.
