When do you need a specialised sketch pad?
This Canson Figueras sketch pad is specifically designed for oil paint and oil pastels. You need this product when you want to work with these techniques without the paint or pastel soaking through the paper or damaging it. The pad is also suitable if you are looking for a durable surface that will not yellow or deteriorate over time.

Why this size and weight?
At 410×330 mm, this pad offers ample space for detailed works and studies. The paper weight of 290 g/m² ensures the paper is sturdy enough to bear the heavy consistency of oil paint and oil pastels. The 10 sheets give you enough material for a series of studies or experimental works.

Linen texture for authentic results
The paper has a linen texture that replicates the surface of traditional linen canvas. This structure helps hold paint and pastels, giving you more control over your technique. The acid-free and archival properties mean your work will not discolour or become brittle through chemical processes within the paper.

Practical benefits of the binding
The pad is glued along the short side, allowing you to easily tear off a sheet without damaging the others. The barrier layer prevents oil or greasy materials from seeping through the paper to the sheets underneath, so every sheet remains optimally usable.
