What does this sketch pad do?
The CANSON Mi-Teintes sketch pad has been specially developed for pastel drawings and chalk work. The 160 g/m² paper offers the right texture and thickness to absorb and hold pastel pigments and chalk well. Use this pad when you want to draw or sketch with dry drawing and painting materials.

Why this combination of grey tones?
This pad contains 20 sheets divided across four different shades of grey: grey, pastel grey, moon grey and light grey. You get 5 sheets of each shade, so you can experiment with different grey values as a base for your artwork. Grey tones form a neutral ground that allows both light and dark pastel shades to shine.

Practical properties of the paper
The paper weighs 160 g/m² and has a special texture suited to pastel and chalk techniques. This weight ensures the paper is sturdy enough to hold the dry pigments well without tearing when working in multiple layers. The pad is glued along the short side, which is handy when tearing off sheets.

Size and storage tip
The format of 320×410 mm offers enough room for both studies and finished drawings. Because the pad is glued on the short side, you can use it upright and tear off sheets easily. Store the pad flat to prevent the sheets from warping, especially in damp conditions.
