This is why Dex likes this article
These water-soluble coloured pencils with cedarwood barrels combine a sturdy lead with beautiful lightfastness, so your drawings stay beautiful for years. Add water and the 30 colours transform into soft watercolour effects.
When do you choose this product?
What are watercolour pencils and when do you use them?
Watercolour pencils combine the precision of coloured pencils with the fluid effects of watercolour paint. You use them for drawings where you want to apply both dry and wet techniques. By adding water, you turn the pencil strokes into soft, flowing watercolour washes.
Why choose a set of 30 colours?
With 30 different colours, you have an extensive colour palette that suits a wide range of projects. The set includes both primary colours and subtle tones such as salmon pink, malachite green and Prussian blue. This broad selection makes it possible to create realistic colour transitions and shading without having to constantly mix colours.
Hard lead for more control
These coloured pencils have a hard lead of 3.0 mm thickness, which provides greater control and precision when drawing. Hard leads wear down less quickly than soft varieties and allow you to colour both fine details and broader areas. The cedarwood ensures that the pencils remain easy to sharpen.
Lightfastness and practical storage
A key feature is the exceptional lightfastness, which helps your artworks retain their original colour intensity for a long time. The metal tin protects the pencils from damage and keeps them neatly organised. The hexagonal shape prevents the pencils from rolling off your worktable while you draw.

Dex knows - user tips
Shake the box of coloured pencils gently before use to make sure they are properly seated, as the wooden casing can give slightly when sharpening, so preferably use a good pencil sharpener. Because the pencils are water-soluble, you can work with a damp brush after drawing for a watercolour effect: let the paper dry completely before you apply a new layer.
