What does a Cat6 S/FTP network cable do?
A Cat6 S/FTP network cable provides stable network connections between devices such as computers, switches and routers. You need this type of cable when you want reliable data transfer in environments with a lot of electronic equipment that can cause interference.

Why choose the 0.5 metre length?
At 0.5 metres you get a compact cable that is ideal for short connections in server cabinets, between devices on the same desk, or in situations where you want to keep cables neat. The short length prevents unnecessary cable clutter and reduces the risk of signal loss.

Double shielding against interference
This cable has S/FTP shielding, which stands for both a metallic foil around each wire pair (PIMF) and a braided shield around all pairs together. This double protection makes the cable suitable for professional environments where electromagnetic interference can be a problem.

Practical details for use
The cable has a 1:1 pin layout, meaning both ends are wired identically according to the standard. The RJ45 connectors are fitted with strain relief and boots to prevent damage. You will find length markings on the connectors, which is useful for identification in more complex network installations.
