What does this network cable do?
This Cat6 S/FTP network cable connects your devices to the network for stable internet connections and file transfers. You need this type of cable when you want to connect computers, printers, switches or other network equipment to your router or network infrastructure. The cable ensures reliable communication between devices in your office or home network.

Why Cat6 S/FTP in a 3-metre length?
Cat6 standard offers sufficient bandwidth for modern office and home applications, while the 3-metre length is ideal for short to medium distances. This length works perfectly for connections within a single room, such as from your desk to the router or between devices in the same room. The compact length prevents unnecessary cable slack and keeps your workspace tidy.

Double shielding against interference
The S/FTP type means this cable is double-shielded: each pair of wires is wrapped in metal foil (PIMF), and surrounding them is an additional braided shield. This double protection prevents electromagnetic interference from disrupting your network connection. This is especially valuable in environments with a lot of electronic equipment or fluorescent lighting, which can cause interference.

Practical details for installation
The cable has RJ45 connectors with boot protection and strain relief, which prevents the connections from being damaged when plugging and unplugging. The 1:1 wiring ensures direct connections between devices. Please note that the connectors are red even though the cable itself is blue - this is normal for this specific DIGITUS model with reference DK-1644-030/B.
