When do you need a ballpoint pen refill?
You use a ballpoint pen refill to make your empty Faber-Castell ballpoint pen ready to write with again. Instead of buying a new pen, you simply replace the inside. This is more economical and better for the environment than buying a complete new pen each time.

Why choose the XB variant with 0.6 mm?
This refill has an extra-broad 0.6 mm tip, so you draw thick, clearly visible lines. The XB version is ideal if you sign a lot, fill in forms, or want text that remains easy to read from a distance. For fine writing, this size is less suitable.

Smooth, light writing
This refill is specially designed for a smooth writing experience that requires little pressure. The steel tip ensures consistent ink flow without skipping. The ink is document-proof and lightfast, which means your text won't fade in sunlight and is suitable for important documents.

Suitable for carbon forms
Thanks to the smooth ink flow, you can also use this refill for carbon forms. The ink penetrates sufficiently to remain visible on the underlying sheets. Please note, however, that this refill only fits Faber-Castell ballpoint pens that are suitable for this type of refill, with reference number 148746.
