Ideal for writing on CDs and DVDs without causing damage. The water-based ink means you can easily wipe away any mistakes.
When do you choose this product?
What does this marker do and when do you need it?
The Faber-Castell MULTIMARK M is specially developed for labelling CDs and DVDs without damaging the disc. You need this marker when you want to label optical media with text or symbols that can later be removed. Thanks to its non-permanent properties, you can adjust or completely erase descriptions.
Why choose the 1.0 mm variant?
With a line width of approximately 1.0 mm, you get a medium stroke thickness that is ideal for both text and small symbols on CDs and DVDs. This size ensures your text is clearly visible, while still allowing you to write in detail on the limited surface of a disc.
Advantage of the water-soluble property
The water-soluble nature of this marker means you can easily correct mistakes with a damp cloth. You can adjust descriptions when the contents of your disc change, or remove labels entirely before reusing the CD or DVD. The ink is at the same time bright and clearly visible thanks to its light, vivid-coloured properties.
Practical tip for optimal use
The metal tip produces a sharp, precise line that does not wear out quickly. Make sure your CD or DVD is clean and dry before you start writing. Always write on the label side of the disc (top side) and avoid applying pressure to prevent scratches. For the best result, let the ink dry for a few seconds before handling the disc.

Dex knows - user tips
No hazard statements have been provided. Now the usage tip: the Faber-Castell Multimark 151499 is a waterproof OHP/CD/DVD marker. A well-known usage tip for this type of marker is that the ink on smooth surfaces (such as CDs/DVDs and transparencies) needs to dry before you touch the surface — the product description confirms this ("sekundenschnell trocken", meaning "dries in seconds"), which indicates that quick drying is a deliberate feature. That is a relevant usage tip.
Allow the ink to dry completely before touching or stacking the written surface, even though the marker dries within a few seconds.
