Ideal marker for writing on CDs and DVDs without damage. The water-soluble ink is easy to remove and the metal tip ensures precision.
When do you choose this product?
What does this product do?
The Faber-Castell MultiMark is a non-permanent marker specially developed for writing on CDs, DVDs and overhead transparencies. You use this marker when you need erasable labelling on sensitive surfaces that cannot tolerate permanent ink.
Why this 1.0 mm variant?
The medium 1.0 mm line width offers the perfect balance between legibility and precision. You get sharp, clean-edged lines that are clearly visible without taking up too much space on the small surface of a CD or DVD. The red colour ensures good visibility on a variety of surfaces.
Non-permanent and water-based advantages
This marker is water-based and fully erasable, which is crucial when working with optical media. The ink does not damage the delicate surfaces of CDs and DVDs and can be easily removed when you want to change the labelling. The bright, vivid colour remains clearly visible but does not bond permanently.
Practical compatibility tip
Thanks to the metal tip, the marker retains its shape for a long time, even with regular use on hard surfaces. You can safely use this marker on all CDs, DVDs and OHP transparencies without any risk of permanent stains or damage to the data layer.

Dex knows - user tips
No hazard statements have been provided. Now the usage tip: the Faber-Castell Multimark 151499 is a waterproof OHP/CD/DVD marker. A well-known usage tip for this type of marker is that the ink on smooth surfaces (such as CDs/DVDs and transparencies) needs to dry before you touch the surface — the product description confirms this ("sekundenschnell trocken", meaning "dries in seconds"), which indicates that quick drying is a deliberate feature. That is a relevant usage tip.
Allow the ink to dry completely before touching or stacking the written surface, even though the marker dries within a few seconds.
