When should you use pigment ink pens?
This Faber-Castell Pitt artist pen has been specially developed for artists and illustrators who work with permanent, lightfast inks. You use this type of drawing pen when you are creating artworks that must last without fading, or when you are making technical drawings that need to be waterproof.

Why choose a brush tip?
The brush tip (pinsel punt) of this pen gives you the flexibility of a traditional brush combined with the convenience of a pen. By varying the pressure you apply, you can create line widths of 1.0 to 5.0 mm. This makes it ideal for calligraphy, artistic drawings and situations where you need both fine details and broad strokes.

Permanent and lightfast properties
The pigmented drawing ink in this pen is waterproof and permanent once dry. This means your work will not run when in contact with water, and the colours will stay bright for years without fading from sunlight. The ink is also odourless and acid-free, which is important for archiving artworks.

Practical details for use
The phthalo cyan blue colour (code 110) is an intense, cool blue that is popular in technical illustrations and artistic works. The pen has a clip on the cap for easy carrying. By using the brush tip carefully and closing the pen properly after use, you will preserve the flexibility of the tip for longest.
