This is why Dex likes this article
This professional drawing pen from Faber-Castell always delivers sharp, durable lines thanks to its pigmented ink. Waterproof and lightfast, perfect for technical drawings and artistic projects.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a India ink pen?
A India ink pen is used for technical drawings, illustrations and artworks where you want to make permanent black lines. The PITT artist pen from Faber-Castell is specifically designed for artistic applications where lightfastness and waterproof results matter to you.
Why choose the 1.5 mm variant?
With a line width of 1.5 mm, this pen sits between fine detail pens and thick highlighter markers. This thickness is ideal for drawing medium-weight lines, filling in smaller areas or drawing letters and numbers that need to stay easy to read. You have more options with it than with a thin fineliner.
Permanent properties for durable work
This India ink pen contains pigmented drawing ink that is permanent, waterproof and highly lightfast. This means your drawings won't fade in sunlight and water can't damage your work. The ink is also odourless and acid-free, which is important for archiving artworks or technical documents.
Practical details for everyday use
The pen has a handy clip on the cap so you can easily attach it to your clothing or notebook. Thanks to its acid-free composition, this India ink pen is suitable for use on various types of paper without the paper discolouring or deteriorating over time.

Dex knows - user tips
Shake the pen well before use, then draw a few strokes on a piece of scrap paper to get the ink flowing. The ink is waterproof once it has dried, so make sure you rinse off any spills immediately before they soak in.
