What does this ink cartridge do?
The HP 302 colour cartridge produces colour prints on your inkjet printer. You need this type of cartridge when you want to print photos, coloured documents or graphic material on a compatible HP printer. The cartridge combines cyan, magenta and yellow in a single cassette.

Is this the right cartridge for your printer?
The HP 302 colour (reference number B7RT6AE, formerly F6U65AE) is suitable for a large number of HP printers from the DeskJet, ENVY and Officejet series. Think of models such as the DeskJet 2630, the ENVY 4520 and the Officejet 4650, but the full list of compatible printers is very extensive. Always check the model number of your own printer against the compatibility list before purchasing, as the HP 302 and HP 304 look alike but are not interchangeable.

Honest about capacity
This cartridge has a rated capacity of approximately 100 pages. That is a standard capacity, which means that with intensive colour use or regular printing of photos, you will need a new cartridge sooner. If you mainly use the printer for the occasional coloured attachment or a single photo, this cartridge suits that printing pattern well.

Practical tip when replacing
When buying, pay attention to the correct reference number: the current code is B7RT6AE, but on older packaging or webshops you may still come across the old code F6U65AE — both refer to the same product. Store the cartridge until use in a cool, dry environment and in its original packaging to prevent it from drying out. Only replace the colour cartridge when colours are missing; the black cartridge is a separate product within the HP 302 series.
