When do you need a group 5/6 ink ribbon?
An ink ribbon is essential for typewriters and older printers that still work with mechanical striking mechanisms. This Kores ink ribbon has been specially developed for Brother and Hermes typewriters that fall under group 5 and group 6 classification. You need this type of ribbon when you want to type text onto paper via a traditional typewriter.

Why choose a double-spool side variant?
This ink ribbon has a double-spool configuration, which means the ribbon can move back and forth while typing. The side base ensures smooth guidance through the mechanism of your typewriter. This combination provides consistent ink transfer and prevents the ribbon from jamming during intensive use.

Black/red combination for versatile use
The ribbon contains both black and red ink, so you can switch between both colours while typing. This is practical for creating forms, highlighting important passages or producing clear documents where colour distinction is desired. You can easily switch between the colours using the colour selection lever on your typewriter.

Checking compatibility via group number
This ribbon is suitable for Brother and Hermes typewriters from group 5 and group 6. Check your user manual or the type plate on your machine for the group classification to be certain of compatibility. The ribbon measures 13 mm wide and 10 metres long, which matches the specifications of machines in these groups.
