What are stretched canvases and when do you need them?
Stretched canvases are ready-to-paint surfaces, with the canvas already pulled taut over a wooden frame. You need them when you want to start painting straight away without having to stretch the canvas yourself. They are ideal for both beginner and advanced artists who prefer to spend their time on the creative process rather than on preparatory work.

Why choose the 30×40 cm size?
This size gives you an excellent working surface for portraits, small landscapes and study exercises. It is large enough to add detail, yet compact enough to work comfortably at a table or on a small easel. With three canvases in the set, you can experiment with different techniques or create a series of works.

What does the 4-fold primer mean for your painting?
The canvases have a 4-fold primer, which means they have been prepared four times before they reach you. This primer ensures your paint adheres well and doesn't soak into the canvas. You can start painting straight away without having to prime them yourself first, which saves time and guarantees an even result.

Practical tip for different painting techniques
These canvases are suitable for oil paint, acrylic paint and the napkin technique. The 100% cotton canvas at 380 g/m² has enough body to support several layers of paint. The staples are only on the back, so the sides of your canvas have a neat finish, which is handy if you want to hang your work without a frame.
