When do you need a compact retractable ballpoint pen?
A pocket pen is ideal when you want a full-sized ballpoint pen to carry without it taking up much space. The LAMY pico is perfect for on the go, in your trouser pocket, small handbag or purse. Thanks to its compact size, the pen goes unnoticed, yet you always have writing equipment to hand.

Why choose the retractable system?
This pen has a double-click mechanism that lets you transform it from a compact size into a full-sized ballpoint pen with a single finger movement. This means you keep the writing comfort of a standard ballpoint pen, while the pen takes up minimal space when retracted. The neon orange lacquer finish makes it easy to find your pen again.

How does the double-click mechanism work?
The system is based on a clever construction in which a single press extends the pen to its full length. You don't have to extend it first and then press again to get to the refill - everything happens in one action. This makes the pen very user-friendly, especially when you need to jot something down quickly.

Practical tip for the refill
The pen is supplied with a Compactmine M22 refill in black. This is a special compact refill that fits the short format of the pen. When replacing it, make sure to look specifically for M22 refills, as standard ballpoint pen refills do not fit this compact system.
